Post Burglary Brings out the Best in Members & Friends

Please join me in honoring the following individuals who have stepped up to donate to our Post 3117 following the break-in and subsequent damage we suffered last month.
I would really like to do a shout out to Laurie Stebila who donated $1000. to the Post. Laurie did it to honor her mom, Annie Twist, and her Korean Was veteran father, Robert D. Twist. Annie was a vital member of the Post 3117 auxiliary, serving our Post for over 30 years. Annie was also active in the community, serving as manager of the Township animal shelter for twenty five years. Below see memorial photos of Laurie’s father.
So we can see that Laurie comes from a rich legacy and proud tradition of service to our Edison post.
In addition, the Post would like to honor the following individuals for their donations:
Warren Chen
Theresa Gronroos
Stephanie Vigario
Jonathan Suydam
Thomas Ryan
Douglas Temple
Rich Doerr
Ed Lynch
American Legion Auxiliary Unit 306, Middlesex
Frank D. Hall lll
Edison PBA Local 75
Edward Costello, JR
Just today, our Post received a $500.00 donation from member Frank Hall. Frank, the Post thanks you very much for your generosity! Below please see photo of our generous member Frank Hall
The Post is very happy to announce that the Edison PBA Local 75 has donated $1000. to our Post. The PBA, which conducts its monthly meetings at the Post, has once again shown their generosity to the Edison VFW. Below see photo of PBA Treasurer and VP Detective Scott Luks, a Post member, presenting Commander Aleck with the check.
The Post is starting repair work on the damaged wall in our Hall. We believe that it should be completed shortly. In addition, the interior of the Hall will be repainted as well.
Needless to say, we all look forward to re-opening our Post and celebrating in the Canteen at the conclusion of this Coronavirus lockdown. Until then, please all stay safe and please adhere to the virus guidelines.
See photo of some of the damage done to the Hall. The criminals gained access thru this hole they punched through to the Hall from the storage area. From there, they entered the Canteen and stole money and destroyed our cash register and a gaming machine.
