VFW Post 3117 takes great pride in remembering the service of our past and present membership.
As part of our Past Commander Series, we will from time to time, publish short Bios to commerate our past leadership.
This month we recognize Ralph J Bullock
Ralph enlisted in the United States Air Force from his home town of Wilsey Kansas. He spent his overseas service in the early 1950s as part of the Army of Occupation Forces stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany.
Returning from overseas he mustered out of the service at Camp Killer in what was then Raritan Township NJ. It was there he met his wife Rose.
Ralph worked as a welder, and later had a career with Edison Township.
As a lifelong member of Post 3117. Ralph and his wife were both active members. He served in all positions of leadership, and was named Post Commander in 1978.
Ralph was also a key member establishing the Post Honor Guard, as well as part of the leadership team for the Post Cootie function.
